Having a wonderful planner is one of my must-haves since I love making lists, writing and stationary. It is exciting for me to look for new and cute planners every year as well as give them as gifts year-round.
During the holiday season I feel they make for wonderful stocking stuffers if you get the smaller versions...especially with a sturdy cover that can hold up well in messy handbags or diaper bags. I feel busy moms can put them to use as well as college students, career women, men...nice gift all-around.
My favorite type of agendas and planners these days have harder covers so when I keep it in my handbag...the cover will not get folded or damaged easily or at all. I do not mind paper cover desk planners at all...and I use a mobile app as well.
I like having a large desk planner to write down things to do and my smaller planner to keep in my handbag when I have to go to meetings or appointments. I still do use a desktop app that links to my phone usually.
